Verily, Verily

Jesus began instructions to His followers often with “Verily, verily I say unto you.”  There are at least some 68 places in the four Gospels with this phrase.  You might also read in other versions, “Truly I say unto you” or “Assuredly I say unto you.”  These are introductory words that Jesus used as He began to present a truth statement.  In this series, probably half of these 68 statements will be referenced.  If Jesus said it, we should pay special attention!
