A Compliment to the Church

Our style of music and the speakers and preachers that we air each day are designed to compliment and be an extension of your church. It is not our desire to replace your church. In fact, we encourage you to faithfully attend a Bible-believing church, not to let Faith Radio be your church. We encourage you to give first to your church your tithe. We do not feel God would be pleased if we take the tithe that belongs to the church, and He has honored that in providing for the needs of Faith Radio. As well, most of our programmers are pastors of churches. The church has been a central figure in the lives of the founders of this ministry. It is our desire to help our local churches and not work against them.

Programming

Each program whether nationally or locally is chosen because they hold the same doctrinal position as stated in our Doctrinal Statement, and hold consistent views with that of Faith Radio. We desire to keep a blend of programs that features Bible study, preaching, family topics, Christian views, principles pertinent to Christian living, and thought-provoking entertainment.
Besides the music and Christian programs, for the help of our listeners, we air:

  • News from the Salem Radio Network News
  • Weather
  • A "Good News Verse" for the day after each news segment
  • "The Church News of N. Florida & S. Georgia" - a public service announcement time
  • “Family Time with God," a prayer time where requests and praises are taken
Music

Approximately 50% of our broadcasting day is dedicated to music. Each day we air a variety in style of music. The music on Faith Radio is a good blend of light contemporary, praise & worship, and a smattering of traditional, Gospel, and southern gospel--much like most churches have. As Scott Beigle, president of Faith Radio says, "It's music you can understand the words," and it is always "music with a message."

Spanish Christian Radio

We have two outlets for Spanish Christian programming, as well as streaming live over the internet.

1070 AM - licensed to Tallahassee, FL
106.7 FM - translator in Tallahassee, FL

Our Spanish day-time station, 1070 AM, is required by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to maintain certain on-air operating hours. When this station was begun many years ago, long before Faith Radio owned it, these hours of operation were established. As much as we would like to be on 24 hours a day over 1070 AM, we cannot be. You can see below how the months reflect differing sign-off times for 1070 AM. These fluctuating hours have bearing on what we air, particularly in the evening hours. As well on 1070 AM, we must be at low-power one hour before sun up and one hour before sun down. When we are at low power, our coverage is about 5% of what it is at full power, but praise the Lord, we can cover most of central Tallahassee with Spanish Christian programming even at low power on 1070 AM.
